Project consisted of taking the old Epps Chevy dealer on St Helena's Main St and turning into a facility for J Davies still wines in three month time frame. Included processed waste systems at the interior of the building, external hold and haul tanks. Integrated refrigeration systems, night air cooling / CO2 removal systems. Winery piping and hose station assemblies as required for winery use. Wall and floor system assemblies consistent with winery applications. Insulation assemblies of wall and roof area to allow for winery production and storage.

 

Ground up construction of a new 34,000 square foot barrel storage building and improvements to existing fermentation building. The new metal building includes outdoor work area under roof on four sides.  The total area under roof at the new building is 57,249 sq.ft. The new building has a mezzanine that includes an executive meeting room, wine makers offices, shipping and receiving offices, and restrooms.   The new building has a climate controlled case goods storage room, and three different climate controlled barrel storage rooms.  There is also a three bay covered loading dock. This project included process and domestic waste systems, and domestic and fire water systems.  New winery production systems were installed as part of this project.  The new systems included a new boiler, air compressor and all associated piping and controls.  Hose stations were installed in the new building that include domestic cold water, hot water, and compressed air for winery operations. A complete Glycol system with controls was installed in the new building as well as a CO2 removal system with motorized louvers and fans. At the existing fermentation building a new employee break room, bathroom, and shop were constructed. New catwalks were installed, new hose stations with associated piping as well as electrical pump stations.  New openings were cut in the exterior insulated panel walls and new roll-up doors were installed.  The exterior of the existing building was painted.

Renovation to existing winery.  The project included demo and re-framing of sections of an existing mezzanine floor and roof to capture additional square footage at the hospitality areas. The project includes open beam ceiling construction, new offices, and a kitchen. The tasting room is new with a new tasting bar, new lighting and new finishes throughout.

Construction of a new winery including the associated site work.  This project included a large, 20 feet tall, cast in place concrete wall with a future cave portal cut into a slope much like the proposed condition of the Von Strasser project. The winery consists of two buildings with a crush pad between them.  There is a two story 6,193sqft. Winery Operations Building and a separate 4,286 sq.ft. Production Building. The site work for this project included a storm water retention system, domestic waste, including a grease trap for the kitchen, and a hold and haul process waste system. The production building includes a tank room, and a barrel storage room.  Cat walks were installed.  The project also included a boiler for production hot water, an air compressor and hose stations with the associated piping for winery production, and a night air cooling/CO2 removal system. The winery operation building includes area for future tasting room, a commercial kitchen, bathrooms, second floor break room, restroom and offices.
